Performance Revolution
The Samsung Galaxy S24 was released only a few weeks ago. However, in the meantime, an established leaker has emerged with a compelling reason to wait for next year’s model. For the past few years, Apple has led the field in terms of CPU and GPU performance in iPhones, even beating Samsung. Samsung s25 ultra
Over the last several years, Apple has led the industry, even surpassing Samsung in terms of CPU and GPU performance on its iPhones. They were the first and only brand to use the amazing 3M TSMC architecture.
Apple's Dominance Ends: Samsung S25 Ultra
However this year everything has changed. However, this year has brought quite significant changes. The Samsung S24 Ultra with Snapdragon A gen 3 clearly beats the iPhone in terms of graphics performance while coming close in terms of CPU performance. This represents the end of Apple’s chip dominance. But here’s the exciting part. Samsung is going to take things to the next level. Qualcomm and its phone partners are said to be running full throttle to launch high-end smartphones with the highly anticipated Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor considerably sooner than expected. In comparison, Qualcomm announced the Snapdragon 8 Generation 3 in October. so it’s possible that its successor could make its debut even earlier this time around.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 Leaked: Early Benchmarks
We have our first early Benchmark results for the Snapdragon8 gen4, which will power the Samsung S25 Ultra and the Dream Galaxy chip. The test device achieved an excellent 10,628 multicore score and 2845 single core score, which are quite similar to Apple’s M3 processor. When it comes to GPU scores, the 8 Gen 4 totally kills the iPhone 15 Pro Max’s GPU, offering 60 to 70% quicker performance. The results are amazing; if Apple does not come up with something huge for the Apple 18 Pro processor in the future iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max, they will be in serious trouble.
4GHz Processing Power
Digital chat station also told the prospects of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset code-named Tongy that hitting 4 GHz is not a dream. For perspective, the current Snapdragon 8 gen 3 achieves 3.3 GHz, making this a significant increase. It’s no surprise that phones are becoming quicker with each new generation, but if this rumor is correct, we’re in for a major leap forward.
Qualcomm is planning to adopt a three-nanometer manufacturing process for its next set of chips which would result in more transistors packed onto the Silicon. This translates to increased power and improved energy efficiency in a smaller space. however, whether you actually need that level of speed in a smartphone is a different question altogether. To be honest, there’s nothing available on the Google Play Store that would pose a serious challenge to the top Android phones.
Even in 2025, the Samsung S25 will need more than a performance upgrade to fully stand out. Keep in mind that these are merely preliminary results for the h Gen 4. We may expect much better outcomes from the final official devices. It’s reasonable to say that the Samsung S25 Ultra will be a high-performance phone. Aside from the chipset, there isn’t much information on the Galaxy S25.
S25 Ultra to Follow S24 Footsteps with Camera Enhancements
However, given their efforts with the S24 series, it’s reasonable to expect Samsung to continue to include artificial intelligence. However, there have been few leaks. There have been a few speculations about the camera. The Galaxy S25 may replace the ISO Cel GN3 sensor with a Sony sensor, albeit the particular Sony sensor was not specified. The leaker appeared ecstatic about it. The same leaker predicts that the S25 Ultra will include an updated primary sensor, an increased telephoto lens with varied capabilities, and a 50 megapixel Ultra wide lens. This improvement is unsurprising, as it follows in the footsteps of the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
